What a forensic crypto case actually includes, from intake to filing

The Blockchain Fraud case desk, step by step: the automated free assessment, the genesis and flow trace, chokepoint analysis, sanctions screening, the evidence vault, the report, and the filings. Flat fees; the odds stated in writing.

Most "crypto recovery" websites sell hope by the hour. A real forensic case is a sequence of checkable steps with a fixed price and a written statement of the odds. Here is ours.

Intake and the free assessment

You give the chain, the address or transaction, the amount, and the date. Within minutes an automated assessment runs a bounded trace from the genesis of the funds through the first hops and tells you whether the money sits at an identifiable chokepoint (an exchange, a bridge, a known service) or has dispersed. That assessment is free and it is the honest gate: if the odds are poor, it says so and you keep your money.

The trace

A Trace ($750) follows the funds across the public chain with haircut-taint accounting, marks every chokepoint, screens every touched address against the OFAC sanctions list, and produces a written report with the transaction graph. The report is the document a lawyer, a bank, or an exchange compliance team can act on.

The full investigation

A full case ($1,750 retainer, $1,750 on delivery) adds the evidence vault (your files sealed in the browser with your passphrase and a handler key, stored by digest with a hash chain), the drafted filings (police, FBI IC3, exchange freeze requests, and where applicable a demand letter for counsel), and the case registry entry. Monitoring can be added: Case Watch ($249 a month) alerts when the traced addresses move.

The odds, in writing

Recovery depends on whether the funds reached a service that will act on a lawful request, and how fast. We tell you that number before you pay for the full case, and we put it in the report. Nobody at the desk is paid on recovery, which is the only way that number stays honest.

What we do not do

We do not hack, we do not "trace" on private chains we cannot see, we do not promise, and we do not take a percentage.

Questions people ask

How fast is the free assessment?

Usually within minutes of intake; it runs a bounded automated trace.

What chains are covered?

TRON, Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum automatically; other EVM chains by manual review until a paid explorer plan is added.

Will you get my money back?

Nobody can promise that. We state the odds in writing before you pay for a full case.
